While specific powertrain details are yet to be fully disclosed, the PV5 is expected to feature:
- Electric Range: Approximately 375 miles on a single charge.
- Charging Capabilities: Fast-charging options, with the ability to reach 80% charge in under 30 minutes.
- Drivetrain: Front-wheel drive configuration.
Market Position and Availability
The PV5 is poised to compete with other electric vans, such as Volkswagen’s ID.Buzz. Pricing is anticipated to start below £30,000, making it a competitive option in the electric van market.
Kia plans to commence production of the PV5 in 2025, with initial availability in select markets. The company has also announced plans for additional models in the PBV lineup, including the larger PV7, expected to launch in 2027.
